Peru Volunteer and Travel has started started Christmas fundraisers around Peru for pour Peruvian children, as in past years, with the help of goodhearted volunteers we are graciously receving toys, food, clothes and other gifts for children in a small, rural community in Cusco.

Today, thanks to the donation from the Clack family, PV Travel delivered a load of donations to an amazing project, an orphanage for physically and mentally challenged children. It was so nice to see the children happily running towards us, smiling with great joy. The orphanage raises and feeds 32 disabled children that have been given away by their relatives just because of their conditions. The nuns that run the place are their only family. The work these nuns do is incredible, it is also amazing how volunteers get involved with the children, giving their help, love and patience to make these little kids lives better.

As the rains begin to pass Cusco and the bright sunny days begin a resurgence of travelers, hikers and volunteers hit the Inka Trail at full force.
